I've had three dribbles published by 50-Word Stories. One was my first publication ever... and one was chosen as story of the week! I haven't submitted there in a while. I should do that...
Sometimes I'll take something I wrote for Press 53, chop three words, and submit to 50-Word Stories. 🙂 Recycle, reuse, and reduce, baby — and save the planet! 😃
I won the Gotham one (22 words) two+ years ago (February!), back when Twitter was still Twitter, and the contests were done over on that platform. I enjoyed my free course greatly!
Yes, do! I was given the option to pick any class I wanted, except for ones that had prerequisites if I didn't meet the prerequisites (but you can always ask for a waiver and they'll ask you to justify the waiver). The course I took was a workshopping class on short story writing. Great experience!
